Mapping Ignorance is an initiative of the Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) under Euskampus, its Campus of International Excellence. This leading English-language portal publishes news about cutting edge scientific and technological research.

Scientists specialising in their respective fields write the articles published in this channel, which is coordinated by the commentator Cesar Tomé, editor of Mapping Ignorance from day one. This community of science communicators aims to share scientific and technical information in an easy, educated lay-person language.
