DIPC Culture Collection

Collaboration between DIPC and Jot Down to create and develop a series of publications that fosters dialogue between science, art, thought, and society
DIPC Culture Collection

In 2025, DIPC and Jot Down formalized a four-year collaboration agreement to create and develop a new editorial series named Colección Cultura DIPC / DIPC Kultura Bilduma (DIPC Culture Book Collection), a joint cultural initiative aimed at fostering dialogue between science, art, thought, and society.

The collection was conceived as a shared project between a scientific institution dedicated to research and scientific culture and a cultural publisher with a recognized trajectory in promoting critical thinking and high-quality dissemination. Its purpose is to publish in print (and digital format in some cases too) accessible, reflective, and essaybased works exploring the intersections between science, culture, and contemporary society. The series was designed as a collection of independent titles with flexible periodicity, to be agreed upon by both parties according to the availability and development of content.

The titles to be published in the collection were envisioned either as original, previously unpublished works or as translations of books originally written in other languages that had not yet appeared in Spanish or Basque. The collection was also conceived as bilingual in spirit, with titles appearing alternately in Basque and Spanish.

In May 2025, the first book of the series was published, a scientific and human adventure that prestigious scientist Antoine Letessier-Selvon recounts to us, masterfully weaving together the great epic of physics with his own experience as a researcher.
